Let me paint a picture for you: on my walk from the bus to the office, I pass no fewer than five places that can provide me with my morning caffeine fix from. Between big chains (with multiple locations on my route) to locally owned shops, there are many chances for me to stop for a coffee. Sometimes I do–but just as often, I don’t stop. The deterrent each time I don’t grab a cup? A line. I’m pretty much always in a rush, and if I see a long line, I almost always skip the shop and drink the coffee at the office.
You know we’re all about skipping long lines here at AisleBuyer. So what if you could skip the line at your coffee shop of choice (or favorite lunch or dinner spot) every day?
We thought that’d be a good problem to solve. So, we did. With AisleBuyer mDine, you can use your smartphone to place an order before you even walk into a restaurant. You can peruse the entire menu, customize your order to get it exactly how you like it, place the order and pay from your phone, without having to wait in line. If you’re anything like me, you probably have a few go-to orders at most places you go; with AisleBuyer mDine, you can save your favorite or frequent orders in the app, so they are always there for easy reorder.
Now, I can place my order on my way to the coffee shop (medium iced mocha, thank you very much) customize it and pay, all before I walk in the door. Imagine the surprise of the other customers when the barista calls out my order as I walk in the door–and then walk right back out, since I’m likely running late!
To celebrate mDine we want to know where YOU want to skip the line. Leave a comment with the restaurant you’d most like to never wait in line again at, and we’ll use the trusty Random Number Generator to pick a winner. The winning commentor will receive a $25 gift card to iTunes AND we might event throw in some AisleBuyer swag!
**Update: the contest is now closed! Thanks to everyone who commented and congratulations to Annemarie, who hates ALL lines, especially in the morning; I’m with you on that one, Annemarie!**

I hate, hate, HATE – with every fiber of my being – waiting in line at the Cheesecake Factory. Those stupid buzzers make me feel like I’m trapped there, squished between crabby old people (no doubt complaining about the wait) and crying children. It makes me so stabby. I would do anything to be able to leave the line and be notified when my table is available – especially @ the Natick Collection. Sorry – this just really got me thinking about how awful it is. I feel better now.
I hate waiting in line for just about anything-it brings out the incredible hulk in me, especially if i have to wait in line for mine than 45 seconds (yes, I’ve counted before.) Top of mind places that I hate waiting in line for are Starbucks and The Shake Shack.
Starbucks is pretty notorious for having a long line, and nothing is worse than being around a group of people who are equally as grumpy as me before they get their coffee. Not to mention, can we just please order it as a small or a medium, it makes the process longer.
Then there is Shake Shack (if you haven’t been, you should) although its incredibly worth it standing in the line, you just have to be prepared to stand there for an hour. Its the best burger, shake and fries I’ve had in my life but the line prevents me from going there all the time, which makes me sad.
I LOVE this idea! I also love the new food truck initiative in Boston. However, the lines have been crazy long (good for business, bad for a short lunch break). Would be great to use this type of app in a food truck situation. I mean it would be like mobile meets mobile….
This is so awesome! I hate the lines in the morning, as I am always running late. Now if you could get them to deliver to my car…
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING gets under my skin like waiting in line at Starbucks or at Qdoba…. I want to express order my order, scan my card myself and then get out. Also… and this sounds crazy paying the parking meter. No thank you….
Please get this in place for Einstein Bagels. I turn around and walk out of Einstein Bagels as often as I wait in the unbelievably slow-moving line.
